Spring

One of the things I love most about the spring season...
backyard picnics.

A blanket spread out in the cool grass, plenty of books on hand, classical music playing through the window {yes, they like this kind of music (well, except for M)}

and of course good food!

Even this little robin thought about joining us.

Happy Spring!

Little League Day at Camden Yards

It was Little League Day at Camden Yards Today!

We took "M" with us

and had a great day!

We sat right next to the rail along the first base line.
Excellent seats!!
Great view of the batters and home plate

as well as right field.

So, guess what happened?
See this guy here, #12?

He comes up to bat and I've got the camera ready.

He swings.
I snap the camera.
Husband yells, "look out, here it comes!"
I drop the camera in my lap just in time to see that ball hit husband sitting next to me.
It bounces off of his arm and then hits "M" in the leg.
We were on TV!

It hit "M" so hard that it bounced right back down onto the field.

This guy picks it up and throws it back to us but don't you know, the kid behind us snatched it right up.
DARN!

The kid was kind enough to let "M" hold the ball for a minute so I could take a picture.
That's okay though, "M" will always have bragging rights to say that he touched the ball first - haha!  You should see the bruise on his leg from that ball - OUCH!

We had a great time!!

Halloween

The kids had a great time trick-or-treating.  Here is "A" getting into the spirit of Halloween!
a photo of the whole crew...
we have:
Anakin Skywalker, Spider Man, a ghost and a sweet little bee!
As we were going door to door trick-or-treating, we came across a house where they built a Halloween snow witch.  Of course I had to take a picture because you just never know when we will see snow again as early as Halloween!
We had a good time!!

Baseball

Yes, it's that time again and "M" is playing little league this year.
Tryouts happened, teams have been chosen and Andy is helping coach. We've had 2 practices and so far "M" is really enjoying it.

We went over to the field one day to practice hitting balls and "N" likes to hit off of the tee.

A little batting practice for "M"

even "D" is getting in on the action.

Just like daddy.

Doesn't he look cool?

Little "A" watches from the stands while sipping her coffee.
Kidding.
The cup is empty, but she likes to pretend.
and these have nothing to do with baseball, but they were just so cute that I had to add them anyway

Have a great day everyone!

Snow Tubing!!

Okay, so I'm seeing a theme here....hmmm..SNOW! Have you noticed that several of my last posts have been about the SNOW we're getting?

It's pretty. Yes, I will admit that. But I do long for warmer weather. However, when life gives you lots and lots of snow...what do you do?? Why, you go tubing of course!

Well, this one didn't go tubing, but she looked so cute here in her little hat that I just had to throw in this photo.

The rest of us went tubing

and we had a very good time!
I was afraid to take the camera out on the mountain with us because I thought it might get wet or damaged or something. I wish now that I had, because it probably would have been okay. But we got these cute shots in the parking lot!
You should have seen these kids. They loved it! We all hooked our tubes together and went racing down the trail, wind in our hair, snow blowing in our faces and we loved the cold and the snow. The ice and the wet! It was great and with this kind of fun practically on our doorstep, I think I can tolerate the winter for a little while longer!

More Snow!

More snow fell yesterday and last night.
the kids are loving it...me...I'm ready for spring!

Abigail keeps close watch on her brothers. I think she really wants to go out there. I told her she must be able to walk first!

So we kept warm inside...she enjoyed her teething ring and I enjoyed my cup of coffee.
Stay warm!
